General Options
SceneWriter Pro has features that you can tweak to suit the way you work. Most
of these features (apart from workspace schemes)
can be accessed from the Tools menu. Please read through this topic for more
information about the "General Options" window.

When Typing:
- Capitalize first letter of paragraph: This will place a capital letter
to the first letter of a new paragraph.
- Capitalize first letter of sentence: This will place a capital letter
to the first letter of a new sentence.
- Capitalize solitary 'i': This will capitalize the letter i if on
its own in a sentence.
- Add (CONT'D) to repeated characters: This will add the "(CONT'D)"
extension to repeated characters.
- In Slug Element, any key launches Slug Line Helper: When in the Slug
Element, if this option is checked pressing any key on your keyboard will
invoke SceneWriter Pro's auto-slug line helper.
If this checkbox is cleared, you must DOUBLE-CLICK to invoke the helper.

Format:
- Split spanned Dialogue with (MORE) and (Cont'd): When Printing
or creating a PDF file, if a section of Dialogue
spans over a page, select this option to split it.
- Split spanned Direction: When Printing
or creating a PDF file, if a section of Direction
spans over a page, select this option to split it.
- Remove blank lines with Apply Changes: This will remove blank lines
from your scene, but will allow you to add one blank line to the end of your
scene for spacing. If you do not require a blank line at the end of your scene,
be sure to delete it manually.
- Double-space Slug Line element when printing: Select this option
to double space your Slug Lines when Printing
or creating a PDF file.

Misc:
- Hide desktop icons and Windows Start bar: For an uncluttered writing
environment (especially when using "The Page"
scheme) this option will hide your Windows desktop icons and the Start
Bar.
- Auto Apply Changes: To prevent having to press the "Apply Changes"
button after every scene change, select this option to automatically apply
scene changes.
- Hide the welcome wizard: The Welcome Wizard
is displayed by default, un-checking this box will disable the wizard from
being displayed at startup.
