Develop scenes

Although this step is not necessary in every situation, it's a good idea to learn how to develop your scenes in the Scene List as it'll help you later on in your script - especially when you have 80+ scenes in your project.

Scene Notes:

Take a look again at the Scene List:

Below the list of scenes, and above the status bar is an empty white area. This area is known as the Scene Notes. Scene Notes are stored with your project, and are unique to each scene in your script. You can use Scene Notes to keep any notes about your scenes in one convenient place, but more importantly you would use these notes to outline your script.

To enter a scene note for the last scene "Det. Johns smells a rat", make sure the last scene is highlighted, then click in the Scene Notes area and type the following:

We won't enter Scene Notes for all of our scenes as it is not required for this tutorial, however, bear in mind that these notes will be incredibly useful when outlining your script.

In the next page we'll start writing the text for the scenes we created.
