Importing other scripts

If you wish to import a script that has been created in another application, follow these steps:

  1. In the other application, save or export your script as either a Plain Text File (TXT) or Rich Text Format file (RTF).
  2. Open SceneWriter Pro. If you wish to import the scenes into an existing SceneWriter Pro project the imported scenes will be placed at the end of the Scene List, otherwise, create a new project.
  3. From the File menu, choose "Import...".

Your imported scenes will be prefixed with "IMPORTED:" in the Scene List.

SceneWriter Pro will also attempt to update the Characters and Locations windows with those that were in the imported script.

NOTE: Importing scripts cannot be 100% accurate as there are too many variables that can effect the process. We recommend that you read through the imported scenes, and sift through the Characters and Locations windows to look for errors.
