Using schemes

By default, when you first start SceneWriter Pro, all 5 of the key windows are displayed as the "Full Scheme" is selected in the Scene Editor's scheme button. You may however, choose a different workspace scheme by clicking on the scheme button and choosing from the pop-up menu:

Preset Schemes:

• Full Scheme: Displays all 5 key windows in a standard pattern.
• The Page: This will display only the Scene Editor and its width will approximate that of the actual printed page as specified in the Page Setup window. This scheme is useful for focusing on your text and allows you to see an approximate Print Preview in the Scene Editor as you type. NOTE: If you change the page size or margins in the Page Setup window, you must re-select this scheme to update the new size.
• Outline: Useful when outlining your script as it contains a large Scene List and Project Notes.
• Classic: Displays the Scene List and Project Notes on the left, with the Scene Editor on the right.

Creating your own schemes

You may also create your own custom workspace schemes. To do so, show or hide the key windows you require and adjust their positions and size to how you want, then click on the scheme button and choose "Save this scheme as...". A window will be displayed prompting you to name your scheme:

NOTE: You cannot overwrite the preset schemes.

Deleting your own schemes

To delete any custom schemes that you have created, first make sure that the scheme is active, then from the scheme button, choose "Delete this scheme":

You will be prompted to confirm that you wish to delete the scheme. Once deleted, the default "Full Scheme" will be used.
