Alternative Scenes
Whilst it is sometimes only necessary to have one version of a scene, sometimes you may want to write an alternative version either because you are not sure which version to go with, or you are writing an alternative ending, for example.
Instead of creating two separate scenes in the Scene List and deleting one when it becomes time to print, SceneWriter Pro allows you to create alternative scenes for each scene in your project, quickly and easily.
How to create an alternative scene
From the row of buttons at the top of the Scene Editor, click on the "Master" button. The button will turn into a bright red "Alternative" button to indicate that you are writing in Alternative Mode:
If you navigate through the scenes in the Scene List, they will now all appear blank(!), but they are not. Because you are in Alternative Mode, you will now only see the alternative scenes that are in your project. You may click on the "Alternative" button to return to the master scene, but for now, let's stay in Alternative Mode.
Type any text into the alternative scene and press the "Apply Changes" button. You will notice that the highlighted scene in the Scene List now has a small red line next to the scene icon:

This red line indicates that this scene contains an alternative version. Now, click on the "Alternative" button to return to the master scene, you will notice that the "Master" button is now outlined in red to also indicate that this scene contains an alternative version:

Using the alternative version to print or export
SceneWriter Pro only prints or exports the master scenes, so if you require to use an alternative version of a scene when printing, you will have to "switch" them around. This can be done easily: Again, from the list of buttons at the top of the Scene Editor, press the "Switch" button. A window will appear:
From the two available radio buttons, choose the first option, and click OK. The master and alternative versions of that particular scene will now be "switched". You may switch them back by repeating the process.
NOTE: The second option in the "Switch or Replace Master Scene" window is for creating an exact duplicate of the master scene in the alternative scene - this is useful if you plan on using the master scene as the basis for your alternative scene.
